With the current situation regarding the wretched virus in a state of uncertainty and despite our government further easing restrictions, we have thought long and hard about performing "live" again in a venue in Lichfield.
We always hoped that we could resume in September, after our usual Summer recess.
But we need to balance that hope against our responsibility to ensure the safety of ourselves, our visiting storytellers and our audience.
Our committee met on Tuesday27th July and we decided that:
we should recommence our live Club Nights in September!
We are so excited to be able to announce that and we hope you will be too.
We are particularly excited as we have found a brilliant new venue which might just herald a new start for us in this beautiful city - Martin Heath Hall in Christchurch Lane. WS13 8AY
It's all on one level, airy and spacious with some parking. And a large kitchen will allow us to serve you with
tea, coffee and cakes
OR
you can simply bring a drink of your choice
(including alcohol for your own consumption)
We are changing our Club Night to the 2nd Tuesday of each month (from Monday)
Our first event is on Tuesday 14th September
with our great friend Sef Townsend
AND, as promised...
We are working hard on ensuring that we can "live stream" our Club Nights via Zoom so that none of the new friends in our wider national and international audience will miss out.
And we will continue to offer Buy Now - View Later tickets by recording each event.
We are very excited to be making a cautious live return and telling stories across the globe!
We've had some absolutely wonderful evenings on Zoom over the last 10 months but we can't wait to be able to welcome a live audience back to such a modern venue in Lichfield.
And many thanks to The King's Head which has been so supportive in previous years.
